Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Senior Paralegal in Environmental & Regulatory to support a large legal team in Houston. You will help manage regulatory filings, agency responses, and research, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communications across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include annual Financial Assurance filings, FERC reporting, and AI-assisted research to support attorneys on complex environmental matters.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of paralegal experience in environmental, regulatory, or compliance matters.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Experience in energy industry or large corporate legal environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track environmental fines, penalties, and projects.
• Review state agency sites, contact regulators for updates, and maintain internal state checklists and shared workspace materials.
• Prepare and manage annual Financial Assurance filings, including research of federal and state regulations; coordinate with HS&E and External Reporting.
• Support FERC annual Interlocking Directorates reporting, including data gathering, filings, tracking responses, and coordination.
• Assist with document productions in response to agency information requests and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Conduct legal research, including AI-assisted methods, and support attorneys on special projects.
• Maintain the CDIT SharePoint site and the electronic environmental library; update regulatory materials.
