Job summary

Altarum Institute seeks an experienced paralegal to support the General Counsel across contracts, governance, records, and compliance. The role involves reviewing agreements, conducting legal research, coordinating Board activities, maintaining corporate records, and supporting the corporate insurance program.

LMay involve training as needed. The ideal candidate has at least five years of paralegal experience, notary public licensure or eligibility, and strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant paralegal experience.
• Licensure as a notary public, or eligibility and willingness to become licensed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Counsel with complex transactional matters.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for review.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate impact.
• Oversee regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Draft and review corporate policies and procedures.
• Review agreements and contracts, identify issues and risks, and recommend revisions.
• Support procurement activities and vendor documentation.
• Develop and deliver employee communications on GC initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day support to the General Counsel.
