Job summary

Nissan in Franklin, Tennessee is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join our legal team on a hybrid schedule, with in-office work Monday through Thursday.

Under supervision of counsel, you will manage consumer litigation matters, perform legal research, supervise outside counsel, and train staff across the region. A Bachelor's degree and ABA-certified paralegal certification are required, with five years of litigation experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal judicial system, civil procedure, and litigation strategy.
• Ability to relate to people with different backgrounds to build trust and cooperation.
• Excellent communication, influence, and negotiation skills.
• Five+ years as a professional litigation paralegal.
• Familiarity with online legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw).

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of counsel, manages breach of warranty, lemon law, and consumer litigation and supervises outside counsel.
• Analyzes issues and determines defense or settlement strategy.
• Reviews pleadings and discovery and coordinates with outside counsel.
• Provides training to national and regional consumer affairs employees.
• Acts as a knowledge resource for non-attorney staff and develops solutions to complex problems.
• Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
