Job summary

Systems Engineering Solutions Corporation is seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure professional to manage and maintain our Palo Alto firewall infrastructure. You will deploy, configure, and support firewall devices, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability across the network.

Responsibilities include monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with IT teams to align firewall controls with security policies.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in firewall administration and network security.
• Public trust security clearance required.
• Experience configuring and supporting enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper SRX).
• Strong knowledge of network security principles, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and IDS/IPS.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration.
• Ability to design and implement security policies and firewall rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment, configuration, and support of Palo Alto firewall devices.
• Monitor and optimize firewall performance and availability.
• Liaise with IT teams to integrate firewall solutions with other security controls.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Provide mentorship to junior network/firewall staff.
• Lead incident response and threat remediation related to firewall events.
