Job summary

The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) is seeking a Paint Supervisor to oversee the painting department, schedule work, and coordinate projects with facilities teams. You will ensure high-quality finishes, manage materials and equipment, and maintain safety standards across the facility.

Ideal candidates have extensive painting experience, strong supervisory background, and proficiency with CMMS and painting tools. Flexible hours are required to support events and operations.

Qualifications

• Ten years of professional painting experience (preferred in large facilities).
• Five years in supervising or leading a team (strongly preferred).
• Three years using CMMS for work scheduling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate daily Paint Department activities.
• Assign work based on priority, skill level, and project needs.
• Develop daily/weekly schedules and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Inspect finished work for quality, prep, and finish.
• Maintain inventory of paints, supplies, and equipment.
• Train and mentor painters in techniques and safety.
