Job summary

Upstart is seeking a Senior Performance Marketing Manager, Paid Social, to own strategy, execution, and growth of paid social for Personal Loans. You’ll be a hands-on media buyer, partnering with our agency and owning performance, testing, and optimization.

Role offers strong ownership and visibility within Upstart’s Digital Marketing team, with a remote-first model across the U.S. and Canada. You will shape channel strategy and scaling while aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in performance marketing or digital media buying.
• Experience owning and scaling paid social campaigns against CAC, CPA, ROI.
• Experience partnering with external media agencies, including setting strategy and reviewing performance.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret channel and funnel data and design experiments.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize paid social and video acquisition for Personal Loans.
• Collaborate with our media agency to establish channel strategy and evaluate recommendations.
• Be hands-on in the platform to drive media investments and optimization decisions.
• Develop and execute a paid media creative strategy with Creative and agency teams.
• Build and refine audience strategies across prospecting, retargeting, and lookalikes.
• Drive geo-list targeting and geographic experimentation with the analytics team.
• Design structured tests across audiences, creative, bidding, placements, geographies, and funnel experiences.
• Partner with Analytics, Product Marketing, Creative, Lifecycle to improve the full acquisition funnel from impression to funded loan.
• Forecast significant media budgets and balance growth with profitability.
