Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Packaging Category Manager to lead end-to-end packaging sourcing, negotiations, tender execution, and contract management. You will drive cost optimization through spend analysis, negotiations, and competitive bidding while managing a portfolio of supplier relationships for quality, capacity and on-time delivery.

The role requires close collaboration with operations, finance, RDPI, engineering and logistics to align packaging specs and ensure supply continuity across regions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years cross-functional experience with tech and non-tech teams.
• 3+ years of implementing process improvements using data and metrics.
• 2+ years of supply chain experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish category sourcing strategies and negotiate contracts to optimize cost.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing teams to meet business goals and benchmarks.
• Manage suppliers to identify, monitor, and optimize opportunities.
• Provide market intelligence and inform stakeholders on opportunities.
• Drive supplier relationship activities to mitigate risk and add value.
• Identify, report on savings and value targets for sourcing activities.
• Align with internal customers to understand category applications.
