Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Packaging Category Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing strategies for packaging materials. You will collaborate with operations, finance, RDPI, engineering, and logistics to secure supply, negotiate contracts, and drive cost optimization across regions.

The role requires strong data-driven decision making, supplier management, and the ability to work across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time on-site position based in Nashville, TN.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years cross-functional work with tech and non-tech teams.
• 3+ years of process-improvement with data and metrics.
• 2+ years of supply chain experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
• Experience defining program requirements using data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Establish category sourcing strategies and lead cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts to optimize cost.
• Manage category suppliers to identify opportunities and optimize.
• Provide market intelligence and keep stakeholders informed.
• Drive supplier relationship management to mitigate risk and improve performance.
• Identify savings and value targets for sourcing activities.
• Align with internal customers to understand the business application of the category.
