Job summary

S&D Coffee is seeking a dynamic leader to drive packaging category management and supplier relationships in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on developing multi-year procurement plans, evaluating partners, and ensuring cost controls across aluminum can and glass bottle packaging for food and beverage production.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in procurement or supply chain, with packaging experience in consumer goods.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Category Management/Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in packaging, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, risk, forecasting, and category strategies.
• Strong IT skills with ERP systems and office software.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing Category Management plans for packaging materials (aluminum cans and/or glass bottles).
• Source and assess potential partners and manage vendor relationships.
• Create systems to evaluate partners for quality, price, delivery, and service.
• Drive best-value relationships with vendors and continuous supply chain improvement.
• Collaborate with packaging vendors to minimize waste and innovate packaging options.
• Work with product development on packaging future and technology adoption.
• Execute contracts, RFIs/RFPs, and vendor agreements for compliance and price.
• Coordinate between Procurement and Manufacturing for effective communication.
