Job summary

Insulet is seeking a Category Manager, Direct Materials to lead packaging procurement and global sourcing strategies. You will manage supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings across manufacturing operations.

The role collaborates with Packaging Engineering, Quality, Operations and Supply Planning to ensure quality, capacity and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in strategic sourcing for packaging, strong analytics, and project leadership to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years leading procurement categories including packaging materials.
• Experience in global strategic sourcing and supplier management for packaging.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, tooling, and quality requirements.
• Proven track record of cost savings and service-level improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for packaging materials.
• Lead supplier evaluations, bids, negotiations, and supplier agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality, capacity and cost goals.
• Establish relationships with senior supplier management and drive performance reviews.
• Identify cost reduction, productivity and sustainability opportunities.
• Support risk mitigation and continuity of supply across sites.
