Job summary
Talent With Heart is seeking a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic for a high-speed food production facility in DuPage County, IL. This on-site role supports multiple lines, rebuilds machinery, and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical faults to keep production moving.
You will mentor junior technicians, log work in the CMMS, and collaborate with operations and engineering on improvement projects. Pay ranges from $40 to $55 per hour, with overtime up to 50 hours per week for those who want it.
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years in maintenance for high-speed food packaging or manufacturing.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills without being a full electrician.
- Experience maintaining/rebuilding packaging machinery like baggers/sealers.
Responsibilities
- Keep high-speed packaging and processing equipment running across multiple lines.
- Rebuild and refurbish machinery during planned and emergency downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults and fix without delay.
- Handle electrical troubleshooting on the lines as part of daily work.
- Mentor junior technicians and share knowledge.
- Complete preventive maintenance and log work in CMMS.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering on improvements.
