Job summary

BIC World is seeking a Production Mechanic II to support packaging machinery and TPM in a manufacturing setting. You will set up, maintain, and repair lighter packaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and efficiency across shifts.

The role requires vocational training and several years of trade experience in manufacturing, with emphasis on reliability, safety, and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational Technical School graduate or Trade/Military equivalent.
• Five (5) + years of trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum score of eighty (80) on Standard Timing Model

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and repair lighter packaging machinery.
• Troubleshoot machine issues during shift; evaluate production impact and repair to maximize quality, safety and efficiency.
• Maintain specific equipment in the department and investigate and track machine issues.
• Organize work to facilitate TPM completion and fix outstanding machine issues while maximizing efficiency.
• Implement continuous improvement modifications to standardize machine setup.
• Attend shift turnover meetings and communicate information to maximize quality, safety and efficiency
