Job summary

Uponor is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead packaging design and qualification for current and new products at our North American Manufacturing Headquarters in Apple Valley, MN. You will drive testing, material selection, and sustainable packaging strategies while collaborating with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, Process Development & Design Engineering and work onsite to support safety, quality, and cost objectives in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5 years of experience in designing/qualifying packaging in a manufacturing environment preferred 7 years.
• Experience with SolidWorks and EPDM.
• Experience with complex automation equipment and knowledge of machining/fabrication processes.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide packaging solutions for existing and new products on automation equipment and robotics.
• Enhance packaging materials/processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
• Develop new packaging materials/processes aligned with sustainability and business growth.
• Test, analyze, and select materials to balance durability, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to integrate packaging into launches.
