Uponor, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Packaging Engineer to evaluate and optimize packaging solutions for durability, cost efficiency, and sustainability at the North American Manufacturing HQ in Apple Valley, MN.

The role requires onsite work and reports to the Sr. Manager, Process Development & Design Engineering. You will lead packaging projects, collaborate across Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, and guide teams to deliver innovative, compliant packaging solutions that support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.) required.
• 5 years of experience in designing/qualifying packaging in a manufacturing environment required, 7 years preferred.
• Experience with Solidworks and EPDM.

Responsabilités

• Provide packaging solutions for existing and new products produced or purchased on advanced automation and robotics.
• Enhance existing packaging materials/processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop new packaging materials/processes focusing on sustainability, innovation, and business growth.
• Test, analyze, and select materials for packaging to balance durability, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain and apply LEAN to packaging design.
• Lead medium-sized projects or teams (<10 people; budget/impact < $300k) to qualify new packaging materials.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in product packaging within the department.
• Prioritize daily activities aligned with functional and business strategy.
• Model Uponor values and engage diverse audiences through collaboration and influence.
