Job summary

Utz Brands is seeking a Director of Packaging R&D to lead the packaging function, guiding development from concept to commercialization and building capabilities to sustain growth.

You will manage a team of junior packaging developers, partner with Procurement, Manufacturing and Brand, and drive innovative, compliant packaging solutions across all products. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and delivering value through packaging innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Packaging Science or Materials/Design related degree or equivalent.
• 10-15 years’ packaging development experience in consumer packaged goods.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises packaging department operations.
• Partners with cross functional departments to advance packaging initiatives.
• Owns select projects/initiatives from concept through commercialization.
• Develops and supports packaging team growth and best practices.
