Job summary

Lowe's Home Centers, LLC in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Sr Engineer, Packaging Innovation & Development to lead cost-effective, sustainable packaging for Lowe's Private Brands across categories. You will manage the full packaging design process from concept to production, partner with internal teams and vendors, and drive ongoing packaging sustainability, data collection at SKU level, and compliance.

This position requires a BS in packaging or related field and at least seven years of packaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging design, packaging engineering, industrial design or related field.
• 7 years of experience in packaging development.
• Experience with packaging materials and related technologies.
• Experience in the end-to-end packaging design process from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and revision of packaging concepts across Lowe’s Private Brands categories.
• Develop plans for new and refreshed packaging systems and implement rollouts.
• Support sustainability goals by reducing material use and incorporating recyclable content.
• Define packaging specifications with QA to ensure product protection and vendor compliance.
• Coordinate packaging timelines with product commercialization and packaging operations teams.
• Collaborate with domestic and international vendors to deliver packaging solutions.
• Establish supplier relationships to drive cost reductions and innovation.
• Conduct ongoing benchmarking and market research for packaging trends.
• Collect and organize SKU-level packaging data to enable data-driven decisions.
