PurposeBuilt Brands is seeking a Design Manager to lead HomeShine Studios' creative efforts for a portfolio of consumer brands, with a hybrid work model in Gurnee, IL.

You will mentor a team of designers, oversee packaging and campaigns, ensure brand consistency, and collaborate with marketing to bring concepts to print-ready files.

The role emphasizes packaging design, shopper marketing, and staying current with design trends including AI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in graphic design with packaging focus.
• 1–2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong portfolio with packaging and shopper marketing examples.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Excellent communication and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of designers.
• Conceptualize, design and execute across campaigns and projects.
• Displays keen attention-to-detail and uphold high standards of quality.
• Execute traditional design including packaging, in-store displays, and branding.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to communicate brand message and product features.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools (including AI).
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with high creativity and production quality.
• Ensure brand consistency across all deliverables.
• Oversee the translation of concepts into print-ready files.
• Build and maintain relationships with creative partners and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate seamless handoff between creative and production.
