Job summary

Tyson Foods seeks a Packaging Systems Senior Specialist to manage and optimize packaging data across PLM systems, supporting new product development and spec changes. You will query data, generate reports, migrate data, and mentor others while upholding data quality and process discipline.

You will collaborate with engineers, QA, and business partners to drive efficiency, sustainability, and accurate packaging insights using PLM, Power BI, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or significant experience in Packaging, Engineering, CS, or Business Analytics.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with a degree; 7+ years without an applicable degree; PLM experience in food manufacturing required.
• Experience with PLM/Specification Systems (Specright & Oracle), ERP systems (SAP & DB2); strong data and analytics skills.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and QA for new and legacy PLM systems with audits and validation.
• Data analysis and reporting using PLM, Power BI, and Excel to drive actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and manage risks.
• Configure and test new PLM system; perform data migration and validation.
• Create documentation, train users, and support change management.
• Provide ongoing PLM support, ensure data security, and monitor access controls.
• Lead multiple projects, prioritize, and challenge assumptions with data-driven rationale.
• Apply packaging expertise to improve operations and sustainability.
• Mentor interns and share knowledge within the packaging data function.
