Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging, mechanical, or manufacturing and design engineering or related technical field.
• 3–7+ years in packaging, data engineering, analytics engineering, or supply chain data roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
• Experience with packaging specification databases and data management.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Python and cloud data pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and client service to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Lead the development of a central packaging database and sustainability reporting across regions.
• Develop data analytics tools such as cost vs performance dashboards.
• Stay updated on extended producer responsibility legislation and sustainability trends.
• Identify and implement new technologies and data models for packaging innovations.
• Communicate data-driven insights to internal and client teams.
• Analyze global packaging portfolios and identify opportunities to improve recyclability and source reduction.
• Enable dashboards for cost optimization, packaging performance, and sustainability reporting.
• Establish data governance and standards for packaging data.
• Support regulatory and compliance data requirements and document workflows.
• Understand strategic rationale, design intent, and technical feasibility.
• Foster a collaborative environment for innovation and continuous improvement.
