Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Engineer to own technical aspects of a manufacturing line, including packaging operations, process optimization, and capital projects. The role requires collaboration with multiple teams and may shift to 24-hour operations.

The candidate should have a strong engineering background with GMP knowledge and be able to design, analyze, and implement system modifications. Flexibility for shift work and cross-functional engagement is expected.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, or Master’s with 2 years packaging/manufacturing or automation controls experience.
• Bachelor’s with 4 years packaging/manufacturing or automation controls experience.
• Associate’s with 8 years packaging/manufacturing or automation controls experience.
• High school diploma and 10 years packaging/manufacturing or automation controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Work with project managers to complete design, engineering, and construction projects within schedule and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with researchers, manufacturing, maintenance, process development, utilities, facilities, QA and validation teams to define system requirements.
