Amgen Inc. is seeking a Sr Engineer to own all technical aspects in a manufacturing line, ensuring packaging, manufacturing, and capital projects run smoothly.

The role evolves from day shifts to a 24-hour operations structure, offering opportunities to support work/life balance. Ideal candidates will have a Doctorate or Master’s with packaging/automation experience or a Bachelor’s with several years of related work.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
• Master’s degree plus 2 years of Packaging manufacturing or Automation controls experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Packaging manufacturing or Automation controls experience.
• Associate’s degree plus 8 years of Packaging manufacturing or Automation controls experience.
• High school diploma or GED plus 10 years of Packaging manufacturing or Automation controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Under general supervision evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform assignments with clear objectives requiring investigation of limited variables.
• Initiate and complete routine technical tasks.
• Function as a technical specialist to equipment or systems regarding troubleshooting operations.
• Routinely audit the operational performance and regulatory compliance of equipment items or systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop requirements and recommendations for system modifications.
• Assist project managers in design, engineering, and construction tasks within schedule and budget.
