Job summary

UC San Diego Health in La Jolla seeks an Advanced Gastroenterology Senior Physician Assistant to provide independent care for complex GI and advanced endoscopy patients in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

You will work closely with GI physicians, APPs, and nursing staff, participating in ECC consultations, new-patient assessments, and coordinated diagnostic planning. Prior GI/endoscopy experience and Epic/MyChart skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a physician assistant program approved by ARC-PA.
• CA PA license and NCCPA certification required.
• Experience in advanced GI and endoscopy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for complex Advanced GI and Endoscopy patients.
• Independently assess, triage, and manage new and established patients.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, procedures, and follow-up plans.
• Engage in ECC consultations and telehealth visits as needed.
• Collaborate with GI physicians, APPs, nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams.
