Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an Advanced Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to deliver expert care for complex GI conditions in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will independently assess patients, plan diagnostics, coordinate procedures, and provide patient education while collaborating with GI/Endoscopy physicians and teams.

The role emphasizes ECC care, new-patient consultations, and telehealth follow-up, with Magnet-designated leadership and strong emphasis on quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Current California RN license and NP license with furnishing.
• Current NP certification in an aligned specialty (AANP/ANCC/NCC/PNCB/AACN).
• BLS/CPR certification; willing to obtain BART within 6 months.
• 6+ months of NP experience.
• Experience with Advanced Gastroenterology/Endoscopy including ERCP/EUS.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess patients and initiate diagnostic evaluations.
• Coordinate procedures, follow-up, and referrals.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families.
• Collaborate with GI/Endoscopy physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
