Job summary

UC San Diego Health in La Jolla, CA is seeking an Advanced GI Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care for complex GI and advanced endoscopy patients in a fast-paced ambulatory specialty setting.

The NP will perform histories and exams, order tests, develop care plans, coordinate procedures, and work with GI physicians, APPs, and nursing staff to deliver timely evaluation and follow-up, with emphasis on new patient consultations and ECC coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Current California RN and NP licenses with furnishing license.
• NP certification in a GI-related specialty.
• BLS/CPR certification at hire with future BART compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent clinical assessment and care for complex GI/Endoscopy patients.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing; create care plans.
• Coordinate procedures and follow-up; educate and counsel patients.
• Collaborate with GI physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
