Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into systems and requirements. You will own the requirements lifecycle across new products, state launches, and policy changes, coordinating with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, and Engineering.

You’ll lead UAT planning, develop user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure traceability from decisions to implementation across our remote-first organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar role in P&C insurance
• Translate insurance product concepts into structured requirements for Engineering and Tech Product
• Proven ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clearly documented decisions
• Experience with Agile delivery, including requirements clarification, UAT, and implementation validation

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, coverages, rating updates, and compliance requirements
• Build user stories, process flows, decision tables, data mappings, and acceptance criteria
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and product review/beta-validation processes
• Collaborate across Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product
• Document current-state processes and define future-state workflows
• Identify gaps, edge cases, dependencies, and downstream impacts before development begins
