Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Overhead Distribution/Transmission Line Project Engineer to guide a West Region distribution team on 46 kV–138 kV projects, with hybrid work options across multiple offices including San Diego, CA. You will mentor staff, lead design and delivery, coordinate with clients, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; multi-state license preferred.
• 7–10 years of post-education electrical engineering experience in distribution/transmission.
• Strong knowledge of PLS-CADD, transmission line design, and QA/QC practices.
• Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor project teams on distribution/transmission projects up to 138 kV.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, scopes, and budgets with PM support.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams; ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Provide guidance on design methods, construction specs, and safety standards.
