Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Overhead Distribution/Transmission Line Project Engineer for the West Region with a planned hybrid role across multiple U.S. offices.

The role involves leading design for 46 kV–138 kV lines, mentoring staff, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality projects. The successful candidate will bring 7–10 years of electrical engineering experience, a PE license, and strong knowledge of NESC/RUS/GO-95 standards, along with proficiency in PLS-CADD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 7–10 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Professional engineer license (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NESC, RUS, and GO-95 standards.
• Proficient in power delivery engineering principles for transmission/distribution projects.
• Experience with QA/QC processes and safety standards.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor project teams on overhead distribution/transmission projects up to 138 kV.
• Develop project scope, schedule, and budget with PMs.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams; track deliverables.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and safety compliance.
