Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems, including energized lines. You will travel to job sites, lead crews in the foreman's absence and mentor apprentices while prioritizing safety and proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities include live-line work, climbing various structures, and operating bucket trucks and derricks as part of a field crew, with eligibility for outages and emergency callouts.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Operate bucket trucks and other overhead line equipment; perform live-line work with safety procedures.
