Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) seeks an Overhead Distribution Lineman – A Class to perform skilled line work, install and repair electrical distribution systems, and lead safety on energized and de-energized lines. The role requires extensive field experience and the ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities include climbing poles, constructing wires, reading meters, and ensuring transformers and distribution equipment are correctly installed.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Ability to climb poles and work in diverse weather conditions.
• Must possess a valid State of Residence Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of electrical line work methods and equipment.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Read and record data from meter dials and operate service trucks.
• Digs holes, sets poles, strings wire, and connects transformers.
• Respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections and new lines.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure crew safety at all times.
