Position Purpose:

Overhead 3rd Class Lineman is an entry level lineman position in the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution and service lines, transformers, meters, metering equipment, electrical substations, and related equipment. Other tasks include climbing wood poles, ladders, and towers. Employees perform tasks on the job site.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will work safely, complying with all company safety rules and policies, while assisting in the new construction or maintenance of energized and de-energized overhead work.

Support the installation or removal of overhead conductors, capacitors, regulators, transformers, transformer banks, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.

Frame, install, or remove wood, steel, or concrete poles and supports.

Maintain company vehicles, equipment, rubber goods, PPE, and tools in good working order.

Contribute to the Pre-Job Briefing.

You are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. You will perform tasks in outside weather conditions.

Required Qualifications:

1 or more years of experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record

Communicate in English, both orally and written.

Ability to travel and work for extended periods in different locations.

This is a safety sensitive position that requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
