Withum is seeking an Outsourced Accounting Senior Consultant to join our OASyS team. This hybrid-based role requires 3 days in the office and involves leading month-end close, AP and payroll processes, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred and/or MBA equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership and review responsibilities.
• Experience in outsourced accounting, advisory, public accounting or consulting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Clio; strong Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team; assign work, review deliverables, mentor staff.
• Oversee AP workflows; approve vendor/payments and maintain documentation.
• Review payroll processing and filings with client HR/payroll providers.
• Lead month-end close; review journal entries and reconcile GL.
• Review and approve journal entries and supporting details.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting and performance analytics.
• Partner with client leadership as day-to-day contact; communicate status and risks.
• Coordinate external reviews and annual financial statement audits; manage auditor requests.
• Strengthen internal controls; streamline close and reporting processes.
