Job summary

Metric Search is partnering with an established industrial automation business to recruit an experienced Outside Sales Representative for the Cincinnati area. You will take ownership of a defined territory, develop new business, and expand relationships with industrial customers.

The role requires proven outside sales success in industrial automation, pneumatics, or related technical products, with the ability to engage with engineers and purchasing teams, travel regularly, and close deals

Qualifications

• Proven outside sales experience in industrial automation or related technical products.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic components, motion control, or fluid power.
• Record of developing new business and growing existing accounts.
• Experience selling to industrial manufacturers, OEMs, or machine builders.
• Ability to engage confidently with technical stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen and proactive territory development.
• Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to meet revenue targets.
• Identify and win new business across industrial manufacturing markets.
• Grow existing accounts through cross-selling and solutions.
• Convert customers from competing automation suppliers.
• Build relationships with engineering, maintenance, operations, and purchasing.
• Provide consultative technical sales support and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts in CRM.
