SENIOR OUTSIDE SALES EXECUTIVE – E-COMMERCE PARCEL & INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS
$110,000–$140,000 BASE SALARY + UNCAPPED COMMISSION + PERFORMANCE BONUSES
Territory: West Coast – San Francisco to San Diego
Position: Full-Time | Field-Based Outside Sales | New Business Development
YOU KNOW THE PARCEL INDUSTRY. NOW PUT THAT EXPERIENCE TO WORK.
Have you built your sales career selling small-parcel delivery, international shipping, cross-border e-commerce, or B2C/D2C shipping solutions?
Do you understand how e-commerce brands evaluate shipping providers, what drives carrier decisions, and how to win business from established competitors?
We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven new-business sales hunter for a well-established international delivery and cross-border solutions provider with 25 years of industry experience.
The company helps U.S. brands reach international consumers through an established global delivery network, proprietary technology, and specialized cross-border shipping solutions.
This opportunity is designed for a salesperson who already understands the parcel business, knows how to develop relationships with shipping decision-makers, and has a demonstrated ability to generate new business.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships, building your own pipeline, leading presentations and negotiations, closing new accounts, and remaining engaged in their continued growth.
We are not looking for someone who needs to learn the parcel industry from the ground up. We want someone who knows this market and knows how to win.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY STANDS OUT
- $110,000–$140,000 Base Salary: Competitive base compensation based on experience and qualifications.
- Uncapped Commission: Significant earning potential tied to the new business you generate.
- Performance Bonuses: Additional incentives tied to sales objectives and results.
- Established Industry Platform: Join an organization with 25 years of international delivery and cross-border logistics experience.
- Differentiated Solutions: Sell international parcel delivery, cross-border e-commerce shipping, direct injection, international mail, and related fulfillment solutions.
- Modern Sales Technology: Utilize Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, and eTailInsights to research, prospect, and develop opportunities.
- Internal Resources: Work with pricing, technology, and operational teams to support customer solutions and move opportunities forward.
- Direct Leadership Access: Join a sales-driven organization where initiative, performance, and results matter.
WHAT YOU'LL SELL
The company's solutions help U.S. brands deliver products to international consumers while improving the shipping and checkout experience.
- International small-parcel delivery and cross-border e-commerce shipping.
- E-commerce direct injection and international mail services.
- International postal and parcel solutions.
- E-commerce shipping and related fulfillment services.
A key differentiator is its Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) capability, which allows international shoppers to see duties, taxes, and the full landed cost at checkout.
Brands retain control of their checkout experience, customer relationships, and margins—without a merchant-of-record handoff, heavy integrations, or GMV fees.
You will be selling solutions that address real business challenges: international shipping costs, delivery expectations, carrier relationships, cross-border complexity, and the customer checkout experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop New Business
- Identify and prospect qualified B2C/D2C brands, e-commerce retailers, high-volume parcel shippers, and potential fulfillment partners.
- Generate new opportunities through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, industry relationships, and in-person prospecting.
- Build and execute personalized, multi-touch prospecting campaigns using Salesloft.
- Identify decision-makers across executive leadership, e-commerce, logistics, transportation, and supply chain.
Lead the Sales Process
- Understand how prospective customers currently manage domestic and international shipping.
- Evaluate existing carrier relationships, parcel volumes, international shipping requirements, duties and taxes, shipping economics, and checkout experiences.
- Identify opportunities where the company's solutions can improve a customer's international delivery strategy.
- Conduct discovery meetings and deliver compelling presentations to senior decision-makers, both virtually and in person.
- Lead negotiations and manage opportunities from initial prospecting through signed agreement.
Build and Grow Customer Relationships
- Establish strong, long-term relationships with newly acquired customers.
- Remain engaged after the sale and identify opportunities to expand business across parcel and mail services.
- Collaborate with internal pricing, technology, operational, and post-sales teams to support customer needs and successful account growth.
Manage Your Territory
- Maintain a disciplined prospecting strategy and qualified sales pipeline.
- Keep Salesforce accurate and up to date.
- Use ZoomInfo and eTailInsights to research, prioritize, and develop target accounts.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
THE EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience in the B2C delivery vertical.
- Direct experience selling small-parcel delivery, international parcel, cross-border e-commerce, or B2C/D2C shipping solutions.
- A demonstrated record of acquiring new customers, generating revenue, building pipelines, and achieving sales quotas.
- Experience selling to e-commerce brands, online retailers, high-volume shippers, or e-commerce-focused 3PL and fulfillment providers.
- Working knowledge of parcel delivery networks, international shipping, cross-border logistics, DDP, duties and taxes, and landed-cost considerations.
- Proven ability to identify decision-makers, develop competitive opportunities, and win business from incumbent providers.
- Strong prospecting, discovery, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
- Salesforce CRM experience required. Salesloft and ZoomInfo experience are advantages.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve research, personalization, and sales productivity.
- Strong business acumen, executive presence, territory management, and follow-through.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory for customer meetings and industry events.
THE IDEAL INDUSTRY BACKGROUND
We are particularly interested in sales professionals who have directly sold parcel, e-commerce delivery, or international shipping solutions for organizations such as:
DHL | UPS | FedEx | Pitney Bowes | GLS | OnTrac | Asendia | ePost Global | Passport Global | International Parcel Providers | E-Commerce-Focused 3PLs
Experience with these organizations is relevant, particularly in a direct sales role involving parcel delivery, e-commerce shipping, or international shipping solutions.
What matters most is not simply where you have worked. It is what you have personally sold, which customers you have won, and the new business you have generated.
General freight forwarding, trucking, or traditional LTL sales experience alone is not the primary target for this position.
THIS IS A NEW-BUSINESS SALES ROLE
Let's be clear about the type of salesperson we want to meet.
This is not a traditional account management position built around servicing an inherited customer portfolio. We need someone who is comfortable creating opportunities, developing a territory, competing for new shipping business, and taking ownership of results.
The successful candidate will:
- Generate their own opportunities through consistent, purposeful prospecting.
- Identify e-commerce businesses with meaningful domestic or international parcel shipping needs.
- Develop relationships with new shipping and e-commerce decision-makers.
- Understand how to compete against established shipping providers.
- Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Personally drive opportunities through discovery, presentation, negotiation, and close.
- Remain engaged after acquisition and identify opportunities for continued account growth.
Internal pricing, technology, operational, and post-sales resources are available to support customer needs. You will remain focused on business development while continuing to build strong customer relationships.
If you prefer managing an established book of business, this may not be the right fit. If you are a proven parcel-industry hunter who enjoys opening doors, winning competitive accounts, and building new revenue, we want to hear from you.
TERRITORY & LOCATION
Greater Los Angeles and Southern California, with broader West Coast business development responsibilities.
The territory includes major commercial markets throughout California:
- Orange County
- Greater Bay Area
This is a field-based outside sales position requiring customer meetings, regional travel, and industry engagement. The territory is shared with existing sales representatives, with an emphasis on developing additional market opportunities and new business.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
- New-business revenue closed against quota.
- Qualified pipeline generated and advanced.
- Competitive win rate and sales-cycle execution.
- Customer account growth and retention after launch.
- Quality and consistency of prospecting, customer engagement, and CRM management.
