Job summary

Verizon is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to oversee the construction and maintenance of fiber networks. You will manage internal and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget, while ensuring quality and reliability.

You will lead multiple projects, coordinate with contractors and city officials, and analyze cost and route data to justify decisions. This hybrid role includes travel and field work with strong communication required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years of experience required.
• 3+ years in outside plant engineering preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~25% and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OSP/ISP construction and maintenance for fiber projects.
• Manage vendors and multi-stakeholder teams to meet schedule and budgets.
• Lead engineering efforts across multiple projects and drive productivity.
• Coordinate with contractors, municipalities and consultants.
• Prepare cost analyses, route mapping and project documentation.
• Restoral coordination for outages and post-install quality checks.
