Job summary

Verizon in Maryland is seeking a hybrid-network planning professional to oversee engineering buildout, maintenance, and enhancements for the Outside Plant Network, including structures and cables. You will develop plans, drive complex projects, and coordinate with teams and contractors to deliver reliable fiber solutions.

You will design and manage network additions, upgrades, and repairs, while guiding engineering and construction teams and ensuring timely status reporting and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Technical or project management experience.
• Knowledge of PC and software applications including Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive), Windows and MS Office.
• A valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage engineering buildout, maintenance, and enhancements of Verizon's Outside Plant Network.
• Develop plans for constructing and maintaining the outside plant infrastructure based on network build-out needs.
• Drive complex projects and programs to meet business goals and key objectives.
• Design, plan, and manage network additions, upgrades, repairs and enhancements.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, contractors, and customers to implement solutions.
• Develop service order requirements and ensure timely reporting of status.
• Maintain clear communication with teams and external customers throughout projects.
