Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Manager, Outside Plant Engineering to lead the planning, design, and execution of fiber OSP construction and maintenance. This hands-on leadership role manages cross-functional teams and contractors to deliver high-quality deployments while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will drive project execution for FTTP builds, mentor engineers and technicians, and coordinate with operations to support a 24/7 network.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering or related field; minimum 10 years in fiber construction.
Advanced knowledge of optical networks, aerial and underground construction, splicing, and OSP documentation.
Experience managing outside plant contractors and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Strong organizational and cross-functional leadership with multiple projects.
Must pass background check, drug screening, and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop an OSP team including supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
Plan and oversee FTTP construction projects with field surveys and cost development.
Coordinate in-house and contract resources; manage invoices and quality of work.
Ensure OSHA safety standards and FCC/NCTA regulations compliance.
