Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Order Management and Billing leader in San Francisco to own and scale the order-to-cash operating model, systems, and controls. You will drive day-to-day execution across the order-to-invoice lifecycle and translate new products and pricing into scalable, auditable capabilities.

You will partner with Revenue Systems, Revenue Accounting, Product, Engineering, GTM, and Legal to resolve issues and drive durable improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading Order-to-Cash, Order Management, and Billing Operations in SaaS/tech.
• Experience guiding cross-functional OTC initiatives and governance.
• Strong understanding of ERP, CPQ, billing platforms, and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day Order Management and Billing operations across the order-to-invoice lifecycle.
• Lead operating cadence with BPO/external delivery teams and manage SLAs.
• Build and own BPO enablement programs including SOPs, playbooks, and training.
• Define ownership, governance, service levels, and quality reviews for workflows.
• Identify and implement process, system, and automation improvements to increase touchless processing.
• Collaborate with Revenue Systems, Revenue Accounting, Product, Engineering, GTM, Legal, and Deal Desk.
• Own controls and segregation of duties across Order Management and Billing.
• Manage month-end close, billing accuracy, and revenue- related reconciliations.
• Lead quarterly operating roadmap and capacity planning for OTC.
