Job summary

Optomi seeks a Senior IT Applications Analyst for ADMS/SCADA to support and modernize grid management systems. You will balance daily production support with strategic upgrades, working closely with DCC operators, vendors, and MSP resources to ensure SCADA/ADMS reliability and security.

The role requires strong technical leadership, incident management, and collaboration with multiple teams, including during severe weather events and deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), MIS, or related discipline, plus at least 4 years of related work experience.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's Degree plus at least 6 years of related work experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED plus at least 8 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for a third-party MSP delivering 24x7 onshore, onsite, and offshore production support.
• Serve as the primary IT liaison for DCC, collaborating with operators, leadership, stakeholders, and support teams.
• Monitor system health, performance, infrastructure, and dashboards to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Lead technical troubleshooting for complex production incidents across vendors and teams to restore service.
• Support on-call rotations, emergency responses, and major incident management processes.
• Participate in planning, testing, validation, and deployment of SCADA and ADMS enhancements.
• Drive continuous improvement for reliability, automation, monitoring, and modernization.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify gaps and improve grid operations.
• Act as SME for SCADA/ADMS and integrations, understanding architecture and workflows.
• Create and maintain technical docs, playbooks, and implementation plans.
• Communicate status, risks, incidents, outages, and progress to leadership clearly.
• Research emerging OT/grid management technologies and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and sound judgment in operational settings.
• Support storm readiness planning and hurricane response activities.
• Offer extended support during major storms and restoration events.
