Job summary

SB Energy is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to design and maintain its growing data center and power-plant networks, including securing OT and IT boundaries. You will design LAN/WAN, VLANs, VRFs, firewalls, and secure cloud connectivity across multiple sites, with a focus on defense-in-depth and NIST/ISA/IEC compliance.

You will collaborate with EPCs, OEMs, and vendors to ensure reliability, scalability, and cybersecurity while supporting 10% domestic travel and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing computer networks in OT energy or data center environments.
• Experience with Azure networking, site-to-site connectivity, virtual networks, VPN gateways, cloud firewalls, and hybrid monitoring.
• Certifications such as CCNP/CCNA, PCNSE/PCNSA, GICSP, GRID, CISSP or Security+ advised.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end OT network architecture from development to operational handover.
• Design resilient networks for power plants and substations, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, VRFs, routing, firewalls, DMZs, and secure cloud connections.
• Lead equipment selection, configuration standards, capacity planning, procurement support, and testing.
• Embed defense-in-depth using NIST and ISA/IEC 62443 guidance across security zones and access controls.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure reliability, cyber security, and on-schedule delivery.
