Job summary

Inventure is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support secure, high-availability OT networks powering utility-scale energy projects across the United States. You will work with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliable connectivity between SCADA systems, plant controllers, and protection equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience supporting industrial, utility, or critical infrastructure networks.
• Experience with network architecture, routing, switching, firewalls, and OT environment.
• Knowledge of industrial networking, SCADA communications, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Hirschmann, MOXA, or similar networking platforms.
• Background supporting utility-scale, manufacturing, energy, or other large industrial facilities.
• Ability to travel to project sites for commissioning and startup activities.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain OT network architectures for utility-scale energy project.
• Lead network deployment for new and existing sites, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, and segmentation.
• Configure and support industrial networking equipment, firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access solution.
• Support communications between SCADA, PLCs, plant controllers, metering, and protection system.
• Lead commissioning, testing, and site acceptance activities.
• Troubleshoot network performance, latency, and communications issues in live industrial environment.
• Develop network standards, documentation, and diagram.
• Support OT cybersecurity initiatives and utility compliance requirement.

This is an exciting opportunity to help design, deploy, and support secure, high-availability operational technology networks that power large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the U.S.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of field commissioning and long-term network architecture. You'll work across engineering and operations teams to develop network standards, support cybersecurity initiatives, troubleshoot complex communications issues, and ensure reliable connectivity between SCADA systems, plant controllers, protection equipment, and other critical infrastructure.
