Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Sr System Development Engineer to bridge IT and OT in a satellite manufacturing setting. You will connect plant-floor equipment to MES, build real-time data pipelines, and develop dashboards, digital work instructions, and traceability tools to enable intelligent manufacturing.

AI solutions will drive predictive maintenance and quality inspection, enabling data-driven operations.

Qualifications

Experience leading the design, automation, deployment and support of large-scale infrastructure.
Proficiency in programming with at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Bridge IT and OT environments by integrating plant-floor equipment with MES and protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, REST).
Build and maintain real-time data pipelines for end-to-end production visibility and traceability.
Develop custom manufacturing applications (dashboards, work instructions, monitoring, quality traceability) for satellite manufacturing.
Design, train, and deploy AI solutions for predictive maintenance, automated inspection, anomaly detection, and process optimization.
Collaborate with controls engineers to ensure equipment connectivity and PLC/SCADA integration.
Work with manufacturing engineers to translate process requirements into scalable digital solutions.
Assist network engineers to architect secure industrial OT/IT networks.
