Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking an experienced engineer to tackle the department's toughest technical problems across power, compute, networks, and data systems.

You will lead investigations, develop architectures, and drive verification procedures to improve reliability while collaborating with operators and engineers. Expect hands-on work, design leadership, and occasional travel to our Orangeville, UT facility.

Qualifications

• Broad practical capability across power and rack infra, compute, storage, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Hands-on expertise resolving difficult multi-system failures and verifying recovery.
• Authorship and validation of designs, standards, requirements, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Technical leadership of complex integration, commissioning, or recovery work with usable records.
• Broad departmental coverage is preferred over deep specialists.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations of failures and integration problems across physical, software, network, and data dependencies.
• Implement, commission, troubleshoot, or recover work where needed.
• Test explanations against evidence, establish causes, and verify recovery.
• Develop and review architectures, designs, standards, and acceptance criteria.
• Resolve gaps between disciplines, involving specialists when needed.
• Turn lessons from field experience into improved designs and procedures.
• Travel to Orangeville, UT facility about 15% of the time.
