Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a hands-on OT Engineering specialist to design, implement, and verify control systems for our energy-scale hardware in Torrance, CA.

You will own defined projects, plan tests, and deliver verified results with a bias toward practical execution. Travel to Orangeville, UT facility ~15% is expected and collaboration spans operators, engineers, and industrial software platforms.

Qualifications

• Independently deliver an implementation or hands-on test work package from a defined objective to verified completion.
• Plan methods, interfaces, dependencies, resources, testing, and turnover within established standards.
• Diagnose causes using measurements; verify corrective actions resolve the problem.
• Maintain controlled configurations and usable records; coordinate interfaces and elevate decisions beyond authority.
• Meet requirements and demonstrate at least one specialty below.

Responsibilities

• Turn defined objectives into practical implementation or test plans covering prerequisites and dependencies.
• Independently implement and operate systems or execute system tests within the assigned scope.
• Diagnose faults using measurements and logs; verify corrective action resolves issues.
• Plan and execute commissioning, failure, and recovery tests with acceptance criteria.
• Resolve integration issues with other engineers and ensure requirements are met.
• Deliver configurations, procedures, test evidence, and handoff records.
