Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Senior Manager, Outside Plant (OSP) Construction in the Waukegan area to lead field operations and contractor teams. This role focuses on launching new markets with safe, on-time, within-budget execution of FTTH build programs.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in OSP, 5+ years in leadership, and strong skills in budgets, planning, and cross-functional collaboration across markets. Occasional travel is required; local market focus includes Lake County, IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of OSP experience with splicing and construction.
• Minimum of five (5) years leadership/people management experience.
• Experience managing budgets and multi-market construction programs.
• Willingness to travel across active and emerging markets.
• Advanced understanding of fiber splicing, safety practices, and network topology.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and scale construction operations in new markets with contractor crews and internal teams.
• Oversee staffing, budgets, schedules, and safety/quality of work.
• Coordinate with contractors, property managers, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Align internal/external teams to drive efficiencies, shorter durations, and reduced change orders.
