University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a Senior Instructor – Orthopedic Athletic Trainer to join the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. This full-time exempt position supports adult orthopedic sports medicine with clinical leadership and surgical assistance.

The role involves collaboration with surgeons, therapists, and staff; ongoing documentation, education, and program development. Onsite work in Boulder/Aurora region with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Board Certification for Athletic Trainer.
• Colorado licensure as Athletic Trainer.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA/Red Cross).
• At least 5 years of Athletic Trainer experience.

Responsabilités

• Provides daily clinical and operational support to surgeons to improve patient care and clinic/OR efficiency.
• Performs detailed history and exams; treats musculoskeletal problems with direct patient care.
• Provides triage, education, and follow-up via in-person and phone visits.
• Coordinates care with surgeons, physical therapists, and other specialties to ensure timely access to care.
• Prepares patients and assists with clinic and operating-room procedures.
