Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking a passionate Athletic Trainer to join the Spine Center Rehab team in Aurora, CO. This onsite role provides direct patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic setting, working with physicians and rehab staff.

You will evaluate and treat patients, assist with care plans, apply casts and devices, and educate families on procedures and plan of care. Requires Bachelor's degree, NATA-BOC, Colorado LAT licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of orthopedic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• NATA-BOC certification and Colorado LAT licensure (DORA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, implements and coordinates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines and serves as a liaison to coordinate patient care.
• Assists the physician and advanced practice provider in the prescribed plan of care. Measures, applies and adjusts casts, splints, braces and ambulatory assistive devices.
• Provides clinical education and expert guidance to patients and families as it pertains to procedures and plan of care.
