Job summary

We Are DC Action is seeking a full-time Organizing Director to lead a team of Organizers and drive power-building coalitions in the District of Columbia. The role sets vision, strategy, and ensures disciplined execution across organizing work, aligning staff, leaders, and institutions around shared priorities and coordinated action.

The Director oversees and develops Organizers, coaching and modeling strong organizing practices, while stepping in to advance work when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading coalition organizing campaigns and campaigns at scale.
• Ability to recruit, train, and develop leaders and institutions.
• Strong discipline, attention to detail, and follow-through in fast-paced organizing work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Organizers to recruit and develop coalition leadership.
• Set vision, strategy, calendars, and cadence for sustained organizing and action.
• Plan and execute large-scale actions, annual membership meeting, and power-building activities.
