Job summary

Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation is seeking an Organ Placement Coordinator to assess, prioritize and assign incoming organ and tissue offers. You will coordinate with OPOs, researchers and internal teams, ensuring timely communication and documentation while maintaining high standards of service.

The role requires a biology/health-related degree and 3+ years organ allocation experience, with strong time management and proficiency in UNOS DonorNet and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or health-related field.
• At least 3 years organ allocation experience at an OPO or equivalent.
• Experience with UNOS DonorNet and donor management.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize and assign incoming organ and tissue offers.
• Monitor caseloads and balance workload among coordinators.
• Lead turnover meetings between shifts.
• Coordinate organ transport and minimize ischemia times.
• Communicate donor information to research organizations.
• Ensure documentation in EDR is complete and timely.
• Provide professional customer service and comply with SOPs.
