Job summary

Nevada Donor Network, Inc. is seeking an Organ Allocation Coordinator 1 to coordinate the allocation and utilization of donor organs for transplant centers and research.

You will act as a primary liaison with centers, research facilities, and hospital staff across the Donor Service Area, handling OR timing, travel logistics, and documentation. You will maintain regulatory compliance, manage high-volume communications, and ensure accurate donor/recipient records per UNOS and CMS standards.

Qualifications

• Coordinate OR staff for local procurements and travel as needed.
• Apply clinical judgment with organ viability knowledge per guidelines.
• Coordinate organ placement and optimize resources for transplant/research.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements of organ donation.
• Communicate with hospitals, agencies, and the public.
• Manage a high volume of calls with accurate documentation.
• Arrange transportation and lab notifications for donor testing.
• Understand donor medical requirements and contraindications.
• Record and maintain donor/recipient clinical data per UNOS/CMS.
• Maintain procurement equipment and supply inventories.
• Maintain up-to-date contact lists for transplant personnel.
• Report activity to leadership and participate in process improvements.
• Stay current with UNOS policy changes and education offerings.
