Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Customer Order Management Representative Level II to own the full order lifecycle from setup through shipment.

You will coordinate with manufacturing, logistics and internal teams to meet deadlines, resolve complex inquiries and ensure compliance with export policies. The role requires strong communication, data integrity and a proactive approach to process improvements, with on-site work at the Cummins facility in Rocky Mount.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications
• Demonstrated PC and mainframe program capability
• Knowledge of the Engineering Release and Documentation systems
• Able to work positively with Mid-range Engineering and Product Engineering
• Understand the interrelation of the mainframe and production systems
• Understanding of the Cummins Inc. Customer Base
• Must understand engine structure and the importance of an accurate bill of materials
• Demonstrated understanding of assembly and/or machining processes
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 7-step, CACI, Fault Tree analysis, etc

Responsibilities

• The role converts Customer Orders for CSL language to a plant-level shop order and provides feedback on issues blocking orders.
• Collaborate with corporate engineering, plant engineering and other groups to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Interact with customers and internal teams to ensure order accuracy and timely fulfillment.
• Support documentation, traceability and quality processes during order lifecycle.
• Address escalations, ensure export/shipping compliance, and maintain audit-ready records.
